Happy New Year 2023 ♥️ It's a New Year with New Beginnings, New Friends, New Opportunities, New Experiences, New Milestones..... Excited to embrace a New year with New experiences and blessings ahead.....

It's, always exciting as we close the Chapter of the year and anticipate the freshness of a New Year ahead.....


As the New Year starts, It's a good time to reflect on the year. It's a time to look at where we have been, who we have become, and also all we have overcome throughout the year...... 

It's a time to close one Chapter and look forward to the beginning of another chapter, or another  phase of life
This often comes with mixed emotions, as we anticipate what the year or chapter ahead will hold..... 

                                                               

 As a new calendar flips from one year to the next we may wonder, what will the new year bring, will we find more hope, more forgiveness, more happiness, more peace, more love, more friends, and more gratitude in each day, more joy in our journey, and more time to embrace,  the moments of where we are in our own journey.... 

     

   I believe the answer to all of these hopes, above is yes... We can choose to find all these things in a new year.... new hopes, new discoveries, new dreams, new adventures, new opportunities, and new perspectives to cherish each day... 

      


    My youngest daughter was looking for a book she had made the other day, with a story she had written. It had taken time and effort  to write it, and was important to her.  Although with all the shuffling to put up Christmas, her book got misplaced and  she wasn't happy we couldn't find it.... Then she said fine, I will make a new one... Me, ok! Then was thinking, I am sure it will turn up. I know we just had it, and that it  seemed  like it would be too much work to create a new one.... Determined she got her paper, and a  fun new color of paper to be the cover... She cut it, then wanted it stapled again. When she finished her book it wasn't perfect, but she was proud  of herself for creating  a new book...
                                                                   


She finished just before bedtime and laid down and said yes.... "I can't wait for tomorrow to fill my new book as it's blank" .. It was a fresh start to her story.... 

Her little book was a new and fresh book, even though it was not perfect it was ready for a new story or, a revision of her old story. This is just like our lives are at times with new beginnings not always perfect but new, and a fresh opportunity to write new chapters, experiences, hopes and dreams.. 

As we write new stories or look forward to new experiences, this doesn't mean we won't face challenges, feel heartache or never feel disappointed. As, we give ourselves permission to embrace a new year, and new opportunities we can see the possibilities of a new beginning in each new day and year .... 

Sometimes, a new beginning or even a  fresh start leaves us feeling a bit, overwhelmed. We wonder how to start or, where to start.  We wonder what we should create on the first page of a book,  journal, or sketchbook, as we want it to be perfect. As we begin and embrace new things, we realize , life is often imperfect, yet beautiful. We start to see it is a blessing, to have a new beginning, and a chance to start fresh and discover the story even with rigged edges, at times like my daughter's new book she had created. As we take time to start our story we will also discover the beautiful things in the story that we are writing each day....

What's on the pages of your story still being written what are your hopes, as you embrace this year... With new opportunities ahead .....

Here are some of the goals that I want to work on this year....
  • Creating more meaningful art, and sharing this art with others 
  • Writing more and sharing positive things on my blog - yeah for doing that today 
  • Working  on  my Art Therapy courses... so close to finishing and  getting  certificated
  • Preserving  my personal and family memories in family albums with photos and memories, even if it means coming up against the past at times, and embracing  both the hard memories and the happy memories,  knowing all of it is still part of my story our story 
  • Embracing kids growing up  from youth and teens to young adults, driving, and applying for colleges and getting more independent, supporting them more on their next adventures, and letting them see where life takes them 
  • Doing College tours with our daughter 
  • Taking our kids on a vacation somewhere we have never been 
  • Dreaming about and creating  a 20th-anniversary adventure trip , to go on with my hubby to celebrate our 20-year anniversary this year 
  • Creating sweet moments, and memories for our kids to take with them when their next chapter starts 
  • Believing in miracles and Trusting Heavenly Father on this Journey of ours, Trusting he is the author and finisher of our stories... And that he is in the details....                                             
What a beautiful chance, to look forward to a New year and the beautiful opportunities, Heavenly Father has in store for  each of us as we create our dreams, hopes, and goals, and cherish and embrace today... and  choose to celebrate  new beginnings....

Inspiration from my tiny daughter, who has an inner joy for life and others.... Bloom where you are...

Let's call her my tiny daughter as that's what I call her sometimes.... As I dropped her off at school she said Mom it's Thursday... What are you going to write for your Thursday blog writing...  (Me, thinking yes, I have one follower.... ❤️) then I said well I  have been so busy taking care of kiddos the last few, weeks as  my hubby was  on a military trip than a trip to go to his grandma's funeral .. Extending his trip a another few  days, so with this,  I have been running in every direction trying to keep up... Most days have been good, some days longer than others between and a few, sick days somewhere in the middle, but yet feel blessed, that  I have had strength on the longer days to get through and that we have taken one day at a time.....   I have been excited to share a new post on Thursdays..... just for fun, as I love Thursdays... But have missed a few here and there... And definitely missed writing the last few weeks with so much goin...
